Pastor Jen Harvey
Born prematurely in a third-world country, Jen's fight for life began at birth. However, God’s plan for her life could not be thwarted by man, circumstances, or demonic forces. Her life speaks of His grace and sovereignty.
On February 7th, 1986, she bid farewell to her beloved home in Jamaica and embraced the challenges of the Big Apple. The initial cultural shock was daunting, but Jen's resilience shone through. She didn't let it deter her. Instead, she acquired her GED and enrolled in Kingsborough Community College. After two years, she transferred to SUNY Downstate, where she pursued and earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Her journey as a Registered Nurse, and later as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), is a testament to her unwavering determination.
She pursued and earned yet a second Master's in Public Health (MPH) in Policy and Management. Her gifts and God’s grace opened incredible doors for her. She traversed the healthcare sector as a clinician, an academician, and an entrepreneur. Sat in the revered office she once feared entering as a student as Clinical Assistant Professor and Program Director of SUNY Downstate’s Nurse Anesthesia Program. At that time, she was one of two African Americans to boast the coveted title of program director of a graduate school of Nurse Anesthesia in the entire United States.
She was ushered from her backslidden state in 2001, and she made up her mind that, unlike Lot’s wife, she would not look back. Since her decision, God’s grace has kept her. Highlights of her academic and professional accomplishments gave way to destiny’s call. Moved by the Holy Spirit, Jen Harvey founded The Bible Says International Ministries in 2015. Followed by The HUDDLE, a women's ministry in 2016. Jen Harvey is a mother, a radio personality, a mentor who has guided countless individuals to spiritual and personal growth, a life coach who has empowered many to overcome life's challenges, a public speaker who has inspired audiences with her faith journey, a conference host, and a Pastor
Pastor Jen’s ministries are rooted in the person and principles of Jesus Christ. Her ministry's mandate is “Engage to Enlighten, Enlightened to be Empowered, Empowered to be Emancipated, and Emancipated to be Enlarged. She accomplishes the above through the use of the authoritative word of God, the person of Jesus Christ, and the empowering presence of the Holy Spirit. She describes her days like Jacob. “Few and tumultuous”. Nonetheless, with a Bible and a heart fixed on pleasing God. Pastor Jen Harvey goes forth, decreeing and declaring what “The Bible Says.
